People really want to see you succeed
“At Mount Holyoke, people really want to see you succeed, just like you want to see them succeed.”
For lacrosse player Allie Brown ’22, being a student-athlete at Ƶis a dream come true.
“Before coming here, I couldn't have imagined being at a prestigious school and getting to play a sport I love on a successful team,” says Brown, an outstanding student. “There's not too many places where you can have that perfect balance. It’s like having the best of both worlds. And now I have this amazing alum network of these former athletes.”
Brown says another important advantage is the supportive atmosphere. “At Mount Holyoke, people really want to see you succeed, just like you want to see them succeed,” she says. “There’s a lot of societal pressure to look and act a certain way, especially as a young woman. It's really awesome to be able to wake up in the morning and walk out of your door and know that you are your authentic true self, in every sense of the word.”
