Following a career as a marketing executive for the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and the Governor of Connecticut, Avice Meehan is now a substitute teacher in the Connecticut Region 1 School District. Holding an M.S. in journalism from Columbia University, she spent her early career as a newspaper editor and reporter.

A New Yorker of the Year (2016) and ³ÉÈËÊÓƵMedal of Honor (2007) winner, she is currently on the Board of the Jane Coffin Childs Memorial Fund for Cancer Research and has sat on Alumnae Association committees.
